Why Ongoing WMS? “As we expanded, we needed a system to keep track of goods and storage locations. From the very start, Ongoing showed a strong willingness to help with integration and customisation towards our existing systems, and already had ready-made integrations with several of our existing partners. Flexibility was a major reason. It also felt good to work with a Swedish company, with short lines of communication and personal contact. After using Ongoing in our Swedish warehouse for several years, it was an obvious choice to introduce it in the UK as well when we decided to open our own warehouse there.”
How do you use Ongoing WMS? “Ongoing is used in both our warehouses, in Sweden and in the UK, for everything from goods receiving and inventory management to order picking, packing and returns handling. We have also integrated Warematic’s optimisation solution with Ongoing to automatically plan and optimise order picking.”
The biggest benefits: “The biggest benefits are the flexibility, the integration options and the opportunities for automation. The system is advanced enough to handle essentially everything we have needed, while being simple and smooth enough that new warehouse staff can be trained on it quickly.”
Working with Ongoing: “Over the years we have had several contact persons, all of whom have been very solution-oriented and quick to help with whatever we have asked for. It makes things easier to always have a dedicated contact who fully understands how we use Ongoing.”
Integrations: "Ongoing is integrated with our order management systems Plentymarkets (plentyONE) and Visma Business. We use the integrations with nShift Ship and SmartSend to create shipment bookings with the carriers we work with. We recently integrated Warematic’s optimisation solution, which helps us automatically optimise and create picking assignments. This has cut the distance we travel during order picking by roughly a third and has also significantly reduced manual administration."
