Ongoing is now taking the next step in its global expansion by recruiting its first Chief Financial Officer, Linda Wretman.
Established in 1913, Flisa Trykkeri AS has a long-standing reputation as a premier printing company, offering an extensive range of services. From traditional printing—offset and digital—to large-format solutions like banners and signs, promotional items, and comprehensive design services, Flisa Trykkeri has continuously evolved to meet modern demands. The company also provides warehouse and logistics services, powered by Ongoing WMS.
As a company balancing both printing and third-party logistics, Flisa Trykkeri needed a warehouse management system that was flexible, efficient, and open to integration. After evaluating multiple options, Ongoing WMS emerged as the best fit. Logistics Manager Anders Lien explains: "There are several good WMS systems, but Ongoing WMS stands out in terms of openness, data exchange capabilities, and service. It is specifically developed in close cooperation with third-party logistics companies and is used by a wide range of logistics providers. The system is web-based, flexible, and continuously updated to support industry needs. Ongoing WMS runs as Software as a Service (SaaS) with a pricing model based on the number of users. This makes it suitable for both small companies and large logistics providers and in the end was the best fit for us."
Flisa integrates ECO3's product Apogee StoreFront - a cloud-based web-to-print solution - with Ongoing WMS to allow customers to place unified orders that combine print-on-demand services with physical stock items. Many customers also operate webshops developed by third-party providers, and Flisa Trykkeri connects these platforms with Ongoing WMS to ensure streamlined inventory and order management. The company also manages its own goods and rental items through Ongoing WMS, providing complete oversight of inventory flows and rental schedules.
The integration between Apogee StoreFront and Ongoing WMS has provided additional benefits, especially in combining print-on-demand with physical stock items. "The integration itself works very well and we have several customers using the solution today. Many of our customers are impressed by how easy it is as a customer to combine both physical goods and print on demand in one and the same order.", says Anders.
The onboarding process for this integration was smooth. "The process from idea to reality has gone very well – easier than we had feared. The people from ECO3 were very professional and helped us at every stage."
Key Benefits of Ongoing WMSOne of the biggest advantages of Ongoing WMS for Flisa Trykkeri is its open architecture, which enables easy connections with multiple systems. "This allows us to manage all customers with one system, regardless of what other platforms they use. This efficiency has led to significant cost savings—our license expenses alone have decreased by tens of thousands of kroner every month."
Beyond the technology itself, Flisa Trykkeri highlights the exceptional support and collaboration with the Ongoing team. "The collaboration with Måns Lerjefors at Ongoing has been absolutely superb and the entire organization at Ongoing is very service-minded. They have a unique ability to understand our issues and always do a very good job both in connection with consulting on existing solutions as well as the development and use of new and specially designed solutions.", comments Anders.
For Flisa Trykkeri, offering a web-to-print solution is essential to meeting customer demands. Lars Erik Hedstrøm, System Manager at Flisa Trykkeri: "We want to offer what our customers are asking for – web-to-print is a perfect solution, especially for teams and associations that want local adaptation. More and more people want this precisely to be able to create a local connection without losing the original affiliation."
By integrating Apogee StoreFront with Ongoing WMS, Flisa Trykkeri has streamlined its order processing, ensuring stock levels are always accurate in both systems. "The integration to have correct stock count from Ongoing WMS is very important for Flisa Trykkeri. This was one of the key points early on in the project. It is, of course, also important that customers are informed about stock levels in StoreFront, and they now see stock availability directly in the system.", comments Lars.
By using Ongoing WMS for their warehousing, and ECO3’s Apogee StoreFront for printing on demand, Flisa Trykkeri has enhanced its operational efficiency, reduced costs, and strengthened its ability to offer top-tier logistics services alongside its printing solutions.
