Ongoing WMS helps Olsson Logistics with their international customers

The logistics provider Olsson Logistics has comprehensive 3PL operations in Skövde in western Sweden. The two logistics sites Skövde Logistic Center and Mariesjö Terminal has a combined storage space of 35 000 square meters.

The company was founded in 1929 by John Olsson and was from the start a major supplier to Volvo. Olsson is thus one of Volvo's oldest suppliers. Since 2014 Olsson Logistics uses Ongoing Warehouse as their main WMS-system.

"We have many large international companies as customers, such as Volvo, Electrolux and SCA. An important part of our warehouse operations is our WMS system supplied by Ongoing Warehouse", says Mathias Olsson, CEO of Olssons Logistics

Ongoing Warehouse is a web-based WMS system specially developed for logistics companies working with third-party logistics (3PL). Moreover, great emphasis is put on integration possibilities with other systems.

“Integration of our different systems is important for both our clients and us to ensure efficient operations. Obviously, for our large customers like Volvo and the world-leading supplier of packing solutions Smurfit Kappa, we have EDI-integrations”, states Mathias Olsson.

To fit the 3PL industry, you have to be able to quickly integrate new customer in the system.

“The system is flexible so it is fast to adopt the system to our needs. We are very grateful for the support we get from Karl Henke at Ongoing when we want something done. We appreciate that there is a dedicated person at Ongoing who can help us on short notice" adds Mathias Olsson.
