Based in Brøndby, Denmark, Parcel Feeder A/S is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializing in fulfillment for B2C and D2C e-commerce brands. Their services cover everything from warehousing and order fulfillment to shipping, returns, and B2B logistics, as well as support for crowdfunding campaigns and marketing material distribution.

With a strong focus on automation, transparency, and efficiency, Parcel Feeder needed a warehouse management system capable of supporting both flexibility and long-term growth. A major factor behind the decision was Ongoing’s API and integration capabilities, combined with its configurability and strong focus on warehouse automation. “The strong API allows us to make custom integrations for customers not utilizing an off-the-shelf e-commerce platform, supporting a high level of flexibility. Ongoing also has a high degree of configurability and a focus on automation of warehouse processes, which made it a natural fit for our 3PL operations,” Mikkel continues.

Parcel Feeder currently works with integrations such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Webshipper, PrestaShop, and e-conomic alongside third-party and custom-built integrations. "Ongoing’s many ready-made integrations to client platforms made it an easy choice.”

For Parcel Feeder’s customers, these integration capabilities are important because they support faster onboarding, better data flow, improved inventory transparency and more efficient order handling across different e-commerce setups.

Today, Ongoing WMS serves as the central platform across Parcel Feeder’s warehouse operations. “Ongoing WMS is used as an all-in-one solution for our warehousing services. It manages inventory, inbound and outbound flows, picking, and provides seamless off-the-shelf integrations for most of our customers’ e-commerce platforms,” Mikkel explains.

By consolidating operations into a single system, Parcel Feeder has gained more consistent processes, stronger transparency and a high level of operational efficiency across workflows.

 

Automation supporting scalable growth

Automation has become a key part of Parcel Feeder’s day-to-day operations and ability to scale. “Ongoing enables us to automate large parts of our daily operations and reduce manual handling significantly. This results in faster order processing, fewer errors, and improved scalability as customer volumes grow,” Mikkel says.

The flexibility of the system also allows Parcel Feeder to onboard new customers efficiently while adapting workflows to individual operational requirements. “Overall, Ongoing has helped us operate more efficiently while maintaining a high service level for our customers.”

Efficient handling of multiple goods owners

According to Tobias, Parcel Feeder has also built efficient processes for handling multiple goods owners simultaneously while maintaining operational performance regardless of customer size or order volume. "They are very strong at standardizing multiple goods owners into unified and efficient e-commerce flows.”

The team has additionally worked extensively with optimizing picking processes. “We have automated and optimized the pick order creation in Ongoing for different groups of goods owners," Tobias explains.

This enables Parcel Feeder to avoid walking with a half-full picking cart across the warehouse, without needing to wait for a certain number of orders to be created for each specific goods owner. As a result, their pick and pack processes are efficient regardless of order volume per goods owner.

This is particularly important in a 3PL environment, where operational efficiency must be maintained across both small and large customers, without creating unnecessary complexity in the warehouse.

 

A smooth onboarding process

Parcel Feeder describes the onboarding process as smooth overall. “The onboarding process was overall smooth and met our expectations. As expected with the implementation of a large and complex system, the setup required close alignment and several operational adjustments. These were handled through strong communication and collaboration, and we were able to get up and running within a reasonable timeframe from both an operational and technical perspective.”
