Why Ongoing WMS?: "We first implemented Ongoing WMS for one of our two companies, Apoteka Logistics. It was an easy choice for the second company, Apopro, because we were already used to it, and we could see the platform's agility enabling us to adjust flows and processes quickly."

How Ongoing WMS is Used: "We mainly use Ongoing WMS to pick items in a setup revolving around a conveyor system and to optimize product locations based on sales numbers.

We have two companies and therefore two Ongoing WMS systems. Apopro is the main pharmacy company, where customers place their orders. Some of the products we sell can only be sold by a pharmacy due to regulations. However, many products can also be handled by non-pharmacies. For this reason, we have a separate company, Apoteka Logistics, that sells non-prescriptive products to Apopro.

To comply with these regulations, we have a warehouse setup where the two companies are physically separated by a fence. This setup is somewhat unique but allows us to work more efficiently, as Apoteka Logistics does not have to follow certain pharmacy-specific regulations."

The Biggest Benefits/Advantages: "I don’t have the exact numbers but overall, with our move—which has also included changing to an automation setup with an automatic box erector, automated customer letter printing, and automated zero-air box optimization—we have reduced our cost per order (CPO) by about 30% so far. Our savings will be around 40% when we are fully in place."

Collaboration with Ongoing: "Our main contact Jakob Nilsson at Ongoing has been easy to work with and flexible on time, especially around the time we went live and were dealing with many issues. Jakob has been quick to make changes and has been able to add a lot of good solutions. However, during the quick turnaround, we have seen some issues introduced, but that is what happens when you move fast."

The Onboarding Process: "For us, it was easy since we were already partly using Ongoing WMS in our setup."
